Assumptions
This is the ministry's general calendar; a school may use different dates. The fourth break excludes grade 12 and summer excludes final grades.
The education minister's general calendar has five holiday periods in each academic year. This page shows the nearest break and the current and next academic year, but you should always verify your own school's dates.
Why a school's dates may differ
A school operator may, on the headteacher's proposal and with board consent, set dates that differ from the ministry calendar. This is the national general calendar, not confirmation of a particular school's schedule.
Grade exceptions
The fourth holiday does not apply to grade 12. The fifth, summer holiday does not apply to final grades because graduation and examination schedules differ.
How dates are counted
Both the start and end date are included. The countdown and exports use the Europe/Tallinn date and do not depend on the server timezone.
ICS and CSV
ICS represents holidays as all-day events with a technical DTEND on the day after the inclusive end. CSV retains the official inclusive start and end dates and grade exception.

The general second holiday runs from 21 December 2026 through 3 January 2027, inclusive.
