Why a written agreement matters
Transpordiamet recommends its e-service for transferring ownership. If the e-service is not used, the seller should conclude a written sale agreement and notify Transpordiamet. The agreement records the parties, vehicle, price, condition and handover.
Checks before signing
Match the VIN on the vehicle, registration certificate and agreement. Check the seller's identity or authority to represent, continuity of ownership, mileage, known defects, keys and documents. Open the Transpordiamet and LKF checks separately and enter a plate or VIN only in the official service.
Print, PDF and editable file
Print/PDF opens the browser print dialog; choose Save as PDF there. The HTML export is a local UTF-8 file that can be edited in a browser or compatible word processor. The blank template leaves lines in place of values.
Legal scope and privacy
This general template is not individual legal advice, an e-signature or ownership registration. The parties must review the final wording and truth of every declaration. Field values remain only in the open tab's memory and disappear when cleared or closed.

Known defect
Instead of only writing “used condition”, describe a known fault, where it occurs and the parties' agreement about repair or price.
Handover contents
Record the registration certificate, number of keys, tyre sets, charging cable and other items handed over.
